The last
five weeks have seen just under 26000 emails going out the door, around 8000 in
a 24 hour Christmas Appeal asking newspapers to give some media space to missing
people over the holiday season. This is part of our “Find Your Way Home”
Campaign, which includes the launch of 6’ x 4’ display boards of missing people
going up in various locations in the UK in bus shelters or tall lamp post poster
housings. To our knowledge, this has never been done in the UK before, so we
are proud and excited that we have had the opportunity to do this. Cost would
have prohibited this had it not been for the benevolence of '247 Outdoor' for
donating the space rent free and Style Is Substance for doing the graphic design
at no cost.
Tara
London, a talented musician, wrote and produced a song for Forever Searching not
long after we set up, because she was touched by the cause and lack of support
that was around at that time. The song, Find Your Way Home, is the theme tune
to our appeal. We are offering it for free download on our website over the
holiday season. You can read about the campaign and download the song at at our

FOREVERSEARCHING: 'FIND THEIR WAY HOME'CAMPAIGN
The group are asking for Media
assistance in raising public awareness of the launch of their "Find Your Way
Home" campaign.
This campaign is not an isolated one but rather a long term message that will
reinforce in a variety of ways that missing persons will not be forgotten and
that all missing persons deserve to be found. We, as a society, owe them that
much.
The campaign will see posters featuring the faces of some of UK missing persons,
being unveiled at bus shelters and on lamp posts across the country. The first
batch of posters will be unveiled on Tuesday 23rd December 2008, details of the
times and locations will follow.
This is rather a long term message that Forever
Searching will continue to reinforce in a variety of ways over the next 12
months. There are further plans to bring in phase three of the campaign which
again will include more posters going up at bus shelters in other strategic
points around the UK.
With Christmas Carols playing in the retailers, and Christmas lights decorating
homes and village streets across the world, this special time of the year, for
the majority, is a time for celebration, for gift giving and for family
gatherings, but for families with missing loved ones, it is a time of intense
sadness and overwhelming emptiness.
Forever Searching are asking for public support, calling for all people to stop
for just one moment, during this festive period and send prayers and thoughts to
the families across the world, who at this time of the year, while the world
celebrates, feel nothing but emptiness and pain.
Forever Searching urges anyone who is listed as missing, to please make contact
with their families or friends this Christmas, let someone know you are safe.
Your family need to know.
"Find Your Way Home" was written and produced for Forever Searching by London

FundRaising
The last
Friday in November saw us at a local primary school doing a balloon race. A
lot of the children had not come across this before and were intrigued as to how
far balloons can go and they were truly excited by the whole event. It was
definitely one of our more fun activities, despite the rain and wind. In total
we raised £50.40p.
December
7thsaw Mandy outdoors again in the cold and rain,
attending a Christmas Festival in Rutland to sell balloons. She raised £72 in
total.
December
15th saw us outside at the Oakham Christmas market. Despite sub
zero temperatures, there was a festive feel in the air and whilst the credit
crunch is definitely showing and people are cautious about spending and
donating, we did raise £154.27p. More importantly, we did raise a lot of
awareness with many people stopping to ask what we did, looking at missing
people flyers and taking literature away with them.
Our next
fundraising event is planned for around the middle of February, date to be
confirmed, thankfully, an indoor sale!

fight to bring his son home. This case can only be described as a complete
travesty of Justice. This child should be with his biological father.

there is no other alternative.
An international petition has been set up which will be presented to officials
from the American and Brazilian Governments, to media outlets in America and

REWARD for Missing Australian -
Janine Vaughan
$100,000 reward offered for
information about the disappearance of missing Australian Janine Vaughan.
The offer comes seven years to the day after Janine Vaughan, 31, disappeared.
Janine Vaughan was last at 4am on the 7th December 2001, walking in Keppel
Street, Bathurst, NSW. Near Machattie Park.
Janine was walking about 40 meters ahead of a group of friends, when a bright
red four door sedan, of a similar size and shape to a Mitsubishi Magna or Toyota
Camry, performed a U turn, and pulled up along side Janine. Janine got into this
vehicle, without hesitation, which gives reason to believe that she must have
known the car’s driver.
Janine has not been seen since.
Anyone with any information to the whereabouts of Janine Vaughan is asked to
contact their nearest police station or to phone Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000
